Mercia mathematicians make their mark

This national competition is designed to stretch students’ thinking, testing them on a wide range of mathematical concepts including algebra, geometry and probability - skills that will benefit them in both exams and future studies.

This year, 60 of our students took part. Of those, 11 earned bronze certificates, three secured silver and one outstanding student struck gold. All participants received a certificate of participation, recognising their effort and enthusiasm.

Our gold student - Sebastien in Year 8 - has now been invited to participate in the Junior Kangaroo 2025 follow-on round which will take place in June.

We are incredibly proud of everyone who took part for demonstrating such commendable dedication and a passion for problem-solving.
